IB Chemistry
IB Standard Level
Welcome to International Baccalaureate Chemistry! Whether you are taking only the standard level course or are taking the first year of the higher level course, everyone will complete the same curriculum, take the same tests, and be assessed at the same level. Everyone will also take the IB standard level exam next May.
This course relies heavily on material learned in honors level chemistry and to the extent possible you should study your old notes, tests, quizzes, and labs that go along with each unit. Review material will be covered briefly, but the majority of the time will be spent on new, more advanced, concepts. At the beginning of a unit an outline will be provided with a schedule of suggested reading, homework assignments and labs. Pay special attention to labs as proper attire is required.
IB Higher Level
Welcome to your second year as an IB Chemistry student!
